There is no me without you. -Keith Michael Allen

Sitting here with you, candles reflected in the wine. The kids are at your mother’s, it’s great to have this time. Can you believe we’ve come this far? I wasn’t sure we’d last. So tonight let’s toast our future and celebrate our past. Remember when we thought we have to go our separate ways but neither would leave and be the one to make our children pay, I realized at that moment I’d finally chose to be devoted to our family and our partnership at home. Without you I’d be invisible, some kind of empty fool, there’s no light throughout the darkness like one defined by two. Looking now and who I am there is no me without you. Like a sculptor shaping Stone to free the beauty that’s inside, we chisel that each other with tools of wounded Pride. Each chip removed exposed to fear we sometimes couldn’t face, but for now the art and artists are one in the same, without you I’d be invisible, some kind of empty fool, there’s no light throughout the darkness, like one defined by two, looking now who I am there is no me without you. There is no me without you. There is no me without you.
